She specializes in the technical development of projects with a passion for enclosure detailing, building science, codes, and specifications. Amy is pleased to serve on the Board of Directors for the Building Enclosure Council (BEC-GD), the Detroit Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Specification Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP), and the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA). She is also on RIB SpecLink’s Product Innovation Advisory Board, where she contributes ideas for improving the functionality of one of the leading spec writing platforms in North America. Amy holds two degrees from Lawrence Technological University, where she has been recognized as the university’s 26th Distinguished Architecture Award Recipient. Stacie Thornton began her career in Human Resources over 25 years ago in the retail market. As SmithGroup’s Director of Human Resources, she manages all aspects of the employee experience including benefit plan design, compensation, immigration, employee relations, policy analysis, compliance, data analysis and much more for over 1600 employees. Stacie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Human Resources Administration degree from Central Michigan University. Stacie is very passionate about serving the community and paying it forward. She has donated her time and talents to several organizations including Our House, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona, and UMOM. Currently, Stacie is a self-sufficiency coach with Teach. Empower. Achieve, providing coaching and resources to empower women who are facing barriers to employment. Tiffany Brown brings nearly 20 years of experience in architecture and leadership to her role as Executive Director of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), where she drives the organization’s strategic vision and operations. With degrees in architecture and business from Lawrence Technological University, Tiffany combines design expertise with business acumen—skills that have helped her secure funding, negotiate partnerships, and advocate for equity in the profession. She is the founder of 400 Forward, an initiative empowering the next generation of women architects, and has been recognized by Architizer and the American Institute of Architects for her leadership. Tiffany’s career shows how knowing your worth and negotiating for resources are critical to advancing both personal careers and entire industries. She has also gained valuable professional experience with Hamilton Anderson Associates (HAA) and SmithGroup, two nationally recognized design firms that shaped her perspective on practice, culture, and representation in architecture.   REGISTER HERE!
