AIA Detroit collaborating with Detroit Art & Business Institute and NEXT:SPACE invites architecture, design and art professionals for an educational and informative panel discussion and brainstorming session on;

1. the important bond of these sectors that strengthen both their communities and the general economic development
2. how these dynamic and influential sectors worked together in the past to foster mutual growth, and
3. the current state of the relationship between art & architecture

After the panel speaks, we will open up to a brainstorming session with our art and design guests to find ways the sectors can work together towards a stronger relationship and greater design.

Esteemed Panelists:
Robert Piatek, HKS
Melissa Ford // Archivist at the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum
Michael Poris // McIntosh Poris & Associates
Robert Sestok // Contemporary Artist
Jonathan Disbrow // Architect
Brienne Willcock, IlluminArt

This panel/brainstorming session will not end with DDF. AIADetroit and (DABI + NEXT:SPACE) will use the dialogue obtained to develop more collaborative opportunities for architects, artists and designers – strengthening relationships and merging the sectors for their future growth in Metro Detroit and beyond.

Be part of the discussion, network and create collaborative opportunities.
