ABOUT THE POSITION:
Join PARTNERS in Architecture, PLC as a Senior Project Architect! PARTNERS is an energized and growing mid-size architectural firm primarily serving clients throughout Southeast Michigan. Our team-oriented architectural studio is committed to providing excellent design and technical ingenuity with a focused customer service approach. Our clients include local, regional, and Federal public institutions, K-12 school districts, and higher educational facilities.

This is a career opportunity for a self-starting professional to excel and grow as you explore opportunities at PARTNERS and lead projects teams through all stages of project development. As a studio leader in charge of overseeing quality, timely, and profitable completion of successful projects, you will be responsible for consulting with clients, coordinating internal and consultant project teams, developing design solutions, monitoring project work plans, and leading teams through project execution. You will be challenged to raise the bar and elevate others around you to aspire to technical precision and service standards to be admired.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
 Leadership skills to manage internal project teams in the development of design and construction documents.
 Interacting with clients to define program components and develop design criteria, and contractors to deliver solutions.
 Generation and development of technical details and contract drawings.
 Incorporating zoning, environmental and safety requirements into design solutions, and ensuring code compliance.
 Providing quality assurance and technical reviews throughout project development to assure coordination between all disciplines and documentation completeness.
 Participating in the development of preliminary estimates, budgets, and schedules.
 Construction Phase participation to assure quality performance and design compliance.
 Assisting in the selection of products and development of specifications.
 Supervising and mentoring junior staff in their professional development.
 Maintaining client relationships.
 Demonstrating and promoting a high level of integrity and professional values.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
 Architectural degree from an accredited university and licensure in the State of Michigan.
 Minimum of ten years of experience working in an architectural office.
 Experience with public projects, with a preference for municipal, higher-ed, and K-12.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
 Ability to lead technical drawing generation and articulate design solutions.
 Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, and other design software platforms.
 Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and other general business software.
 Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage time effectively.
