Description: The purpose of this presentation is to assist architects, engineers, design professionals and
construction industry personnel to understand, properly plan for, identify, mitigate and avoid moisture
related problems and failures of internal and external concrete coating systems.

The presentation will establish the proper terminology used when discussing moisture related coating
failures and issues. We will also identify some of the most common causes of moisture related failures
and problems and how to best avoid them using design best practices.

Viewers/attendees will learn how to specify moisture testing, moisture control, installation procedures
as well as selecting suitable moisture control products to incorporate into a USGBC LEED sustainable
design strategy.
