The effort to improve the Energy Efficiency of buildings is primarily driven by Energy Codes and Green Standards. This course covers the latest developments in the ICC codes and ASHRAE standards. Through group discussion, the practitioner will learn how to select vertical fenestration systems that meet these new requirements and whole building energy goals. It also reviews whole fenestration system performance (frame and glazing), and explains compliance methods for the commercial market such as AAMA 507 and NFRC Component Modeling Approach (CMA) program. This class is 1.0 HSW/LU.

• Maximize day-lighting through the use of shading devices with proper fenestration design choices

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
David Warden is the enerGfacade® brand manager for YKK AP America’s family of energy efficient fenestration products, and is responsible for spearheading marketing efforts both externally and internally for the product line. He has been with the company for over 17 years where he has served in various positions. He is beginning his eighth year as the enerGfacade brand manager. Previous positions held included: Product Marketing Engineer, Applications Engineer and Special Projects Engineer. He is a LEED® Green Associate and an NFRC Approved Calculation Entity (ACE).
