Over the last decade, Lawrence Technological University’s Southfield student body has pursued a more comprehensive campus life experience, shifting from commuter school to a University with a more robust on-campus experience. LTU’s recent addition of a football program in addition to an influx of international students has caused a rapid increase in student growth, sparking a dramatic and immediate need for on-campus student housing options. Tasked with creating an iconic residential flagship for the University, this new 300+ bed residence will be leveraged during the recruitment of prospective students to the University’s many design programs and student-body social groups. This residence hall meets the campus needs at a master plan, building site and programming level, aids in recruitment of prospective students, and supports the University’s many design programs and student-body social groups.
