HKS Cass Community Social Services Master Plan

This strategic master plan for a social services organization that provides food, housing, health services and job training to at-risk populations in Detroit addressed issues at 11 aging properties, in three separate neighborhoods throughout the city. Analysis was based on recommendations to upgrade aesthetics, improve resident outlooks, improve life safety and building envelope conditions, achieve a more sustainable campus and reduce operational costs. Neighborhood scale recommendations sought to improve economic opportunity, community health and well-being and improve neighborhood walkability.
