ABOUT THE POSITION:
Join PARTNERS in Architecture, PLC as an Interior Designer! PARTNERS is an energized and growing mid-size architectural firm primarily serving clients throughout Southeast Michigan. Our team-oriented architectural studio is committed to providing excellent design and technical ingenuity with a focused customer service approach. Our clients include local, regional, and Federal public institutions, K-12 school districts, and higher educational facilities.

This is a career opportunity for a self-starting professional to excel and grow as you explore opportunities at PARTNERS. As an Interior Designer, you will be working within teams and directly with project managers, architects and firm principals, industry partners, and clients to develop engaging interior design, finish packages and FF&E solutions. This is an opportunity to collaborate with the design team to integrate design solutions and materials and develop exciting spaces that enhance the project program and excite our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
 Collaborating with project teams through all phases of project development.
 Finish material selection, presentation to the client, and documenting selections for bidding; developing plans, schedules, and specs.
 Developing plans and renderings to communicate design solutions effectively.
 Selecting products to align with project budget and schedules.
 Assuring code compliance for product selections with authorities having jurisdiction.
 Vetting program needs with the client and creating effective FF&E solutions.
 Manage design and procurement effort for FFandE packages with industry partners.
 Interact with contractors to resolve installation problems and deliver solutions.
 Perform field visits to accept work in place.
 Supervising and mentoring junior staff in their professional development.
 Maintaining client relationships.
 Demonstrating and promoting a high level of integrity and professional values.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
 Interior Design degree from an accredited university; licensure/accreditation preferred.
 Minimum of five years of experience working in an architectural office or similar.
 Experience with public projects, with a preference for municipal, higher-ed, and K-12.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
 Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, Sketchup, or other 3D design software platforms.
 Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and other general business software.
 Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage time effectively.
