Marketing Coordinator

The Ann Arbor office of SmithgroupJJR, named one of Southeast Michigan’s Top 100 Workplaces by the Detroit Free Press for the past 4 years, is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team.
Working with us, you will:
Conduct and coordinate a range of marketing support activities as directed
Independently organize, write, edit and produce project marketing support materials (qualifications packages, proposals, presentations/interviews, etc.)
Work with studio principal(s) designated to lead specific marketing activity
Draft content and graphic layout of proposal sections and general marketing correspondence as directed
Develop SF 330 documents as needed
Gather, format and maintain accurate, up-to-date firm marketing information including staff bios, project descriptions and statistics, and other information for marketing purposes
Maintain employee and project information in the corporate database (Deltek Vision)
Implement public relations strategy by assisting with award submittals, public relations and photography as directed
Assist in research of target markets and clients as directed, sharing relevant information with other offices and practices
Support the implementation of corporate identity initiatives, direct mail programs, and social media
Update SharePoint image library as necessary with appropriately formatted local office project and people photography
Be responsible for quality of work product in terms of accuracy, content and compliance with customer requirements
Interface with people both inside and outside the firm as necessary to fulfill job requirements
Assist in the development of award submittals
Assist with/coordinate special events
Assist in the development of industry surveys as directed
Assist in other marketing areas as requested or assigned
An ideal candidate has:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience in the A/E/C industry
Proven experience creating and assembling proposal materials
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications
Strong organizational, problem-solving and attention to details skills
Excellent time management skills, passion for details and ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
The ability to think creatively and strategically
Strong technical, graphic and social media skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator required
SmithGroupJJR offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefit package, including 401(k) and continuing educational reimbursement. We offer 3 weeks of paid time off within the first year of employment, with the option of purchasing additional time off, and pay for 8 federal holidays. We also offer an alternative work schedule that provides employees with an additional 15 days off per year (usually Fridays) to help with work/life balance.
