GMB is currently seeking a full time, direct hire Architectural CAD Technician for our Royal Oak Office. The Architectural CAD Technician is responsible for collaborating with the firm’s architects and engineers in all aspects of project design and construction documentation.

What you will get to do:
 Prepare construction drawings from sketches, notes, details and/or verbal instructions
 Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, detail schedules, etc. 
 Analyze information available to determine and plan best approach to develop and complete drawings
 May act in a project coordinator capacity at times

What are some of the requirements to work for us?
 Minimum two (2) year associate’s degree in engineering / drafting technology or related 2+ years’ experience in engineering/architecture industry
 5+ years’ experience related to drafting technology 
 Must demonstrate proficiency in using Revit Architecture
 Ability to use Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Microstation, SketchUp, or other 3D Modeling, Animation
 Experience with architectural, engineering or construction drawings
 Must be a U.S. Citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.A.

What might set you apart from other candidates?
 Discipline-specific Revit modeling experience working on one or more of the following building types: commercial, corporate, institutional/civic, education or healthcare
 Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects. and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines
 Rendering computer graphics programs a plus
 Excellent communications skills
 Self-starter – comfortable working under minimal supervision
