Todd Drouillard, AIA is a senior project manager at Ghafari Associates, a position he has held since 2013 when he became the youngest person in the firm’s history to take on this role. With over 18 years of experience working for both small and large firms in the Detroit area, Todd understands that it takes a dedicated group of people to raise a building. As a senior project manager at Ghafari, he works diligently to make sure that all participants have a voice and that objectives and expectations are aligned between client stakeholders, internal team members across A/E disciplines, contractors, and consultants. Todd is the main point of contact for several of the firm’s largest clients and leads A/E teams on a variety of large- and medium-sized projects spanning multiple industries, including the aviation, commercial, government, institutional, healthcare, and industrial / manufacturing sectors. He has played an active role in Ghafari’s pioneering efforts in building information modeling (BIM) and integrated project delivery (IPD), managing several large-scale, complex 3D-enabled projects. As a senior manager, he is also involved with future business planning, firm management, and client stabilization efforts.

Since re-joining Ghafari in 2006, Todd has been an active member of the American Institute of Architects, becoming an internal IDP Mentor and shepherding seven architects to licensure and currently mentoring three intern architects. He is also an active AIA Student Mentor for both the University of Michigan and Lawrence Technological University. At Ghafari, he is the current sponsorship, legislative awareness, and membership liaison that reaches out to AIA Michigan, Michigan Architectural Foundation, and AIA Detroit.

Todd holds a Master of Architecture degree (with special emphasis on urban design and planning) and a Bachelor of Science in architecture, both from Lawrence Technological University. He is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board and is Licensed Architect in the State of Michigan.
