Experience: 3 years (Intern, Associate, or Level 1 Draftsperson)

We are a growing, diverse architectural firm with project types that range from high end residential to commercial and we have an entry level position available for an Architectural Designer.  Our office environment is fast paced, collaborative, & energetic.  Benefits for full time employees include: health insurance options, flex spending account, and simple retirement savings plan- all with employer contributions.

Hours: 8:00 – 5:00 pm, M – F (with possible overtime hours as needed)

Employment Type: Full or Part Time (with interest and availability to expand)

Education: Graduate (or non-graduate) in Architecture and Design

Computer Skills Required: Revit, Autocad, Sketchup & Microsoft Office programs

General Qualifications:

  • Eager to learn, self-starter & willing to take initiative
  • Outgoing individual with positive attitude and high energy
  • Follows direction and able to support senior designers
  • Strong design and organizational skills as well as high attention to detail
  • Communicates in a professional, clear, and concise manner in both verbal and written form
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Illustrator and/or Photoshop preferred

Job Responsibilities:

  • Field measure and document existing building conditions
  • Without direction understands fire ratings; construction types for walls, floors, and ceilings; and able to develop floor plans from sketches
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Efficient and able to meet specific client deadlines and project goals
  • Accurately drafting redlines and thorough final construction documents
