The candidate for this position will operate in a fast paced, dynamic, environment and must possess experience in graphic design, architecture communications, urban design graphics, and conceptual design. As a member of the architecture team, the candidate will possess a strong understanding of the built environment, a keen interest in urban issues, and a desire to represent these complex issues in multiple graphic formats, printed and digital. In order to support the architecture and civic project teams, the candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent design, analytical, and communication skills. The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Originates and develops creative design graphics, design documents, text, and other original content for both architecture and civic projects
• Collaborate with architecture and civic project teams to reach project goals
• Create effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics that will be presented to employees, senior executives and/or public groups
• Comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents, data, and financial information into graphic narratives appropriate to different audiences
• Facilitation of communication in project meetings to support project goals

• Conceptual thinking and thorough knowledge of multiple scales of design
• Fundamentals of composition, color palettes, typography and photographs
• Possess a collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach to work
• A well-organized design process with strong attention to detail
• Ability to function within a well-organized, yet rigorous and demanding environment
• Ability to simplify complex data into a strong visual narrative through diagrams, infographics, maps, and layout
• Ability to develop thoughtful graphic/branding concepts into useable style guides and design guidelines
• Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
• Willingness to learn financial and development terms and principles in order to help others prepare financial/business analysis
• Possess personal qualities of creativity, independence, initiative and, most importantly, high levels of ethical and moral integrity
• Maintain calm, utilize good judgment and reasoning ability within a variety of stressful situations

• Minimum 2 years of professional architecture graphics and/or graphic design experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited architecture, design or fine arts program
• Experience and/or background in architecture and/or the wider arts

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with strengths in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Proficiency in AutoCAD

• Knowledge of 3d modeling software: Sketch-up and others
• WordPress CMS
