PARTNERS in Architecture, PLC is looking for a talented individual to provide support for its growing team, which primarily designs for public sector and K-12 markets.


PARTNERS in Architecture, PLC is seeking to employ an experienced architect who would assist multiple people on all aspects of architectural design, including hands-on design collaboration, drafting and 3D modeling, and aspects of the business side including creating presentations for clients, working with a construction team, preparing proposals, maintaining project files, and conducting research.

A candidate must have BS/BA/MA Degree in architecture and have architectural design experience, educational and municipal facilities preferred.



Assists multiple people on all aspects of architectural design, including hands-on architectural work, such as drafting and 3D modeling, and all aspects of the business side including creating presentations for clients, working with a construction team, preparing proposals, maintaining project files, and conducting site research.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

 Participates in the architectural design process and development of alternative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to a client or for agency approval

 Participates in project and product research, space programming, site planning, and building design

 Uses computers for design, spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications

 Creates two-dimensional construction documentation and three-dimensional building modeling using software

 Develops all phases of building documents

 Collaborates with the production staff for technical details and completion of construction drawings including redline changes and revisions

 Participates in the review of product or shop drawing submittals during the construction phase

 Assists with contract administration responsibilities

 Scans, copies, prints, and transmits original working drawings of current projects

 Prepares/duplicates/collates materials for workshops, conferences, and meetings

 Conducts searches to find needed information, using such sources as the Internet

 Composes and distributes meeting notes, correspondence, and reports

 Learns to operate new technologies and software programs as they are developed and implemented

 Performs other duties assigned



Knowledge and Skills

AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and general, business software

Skilled in developing, compiling and modifying building designs

Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the main tasks and responsibilities

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills



Self-starter and self-motivated

High degree of multitasking

Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively

Process work requests from multiple individuals

Integrity and professionalism

Minimum Education, Training and Experience


BS/BA/MA Degree in architecture

Experience in educational and municipal building design preferred

Client and consultant management experience
